Sooooooooo, we sat down with the Director and told her we want Alex OUT. She hemmed and she hawwed, tried to argue that the class isn't less developed, so I said, listen, this is my daughter, and I know her instinctively, and I know that she's not happy and she's not thriving, and as her parent, I want her to be where she's happy and thriving.

She said ok, she's going to talk to the other teacher and see if she's ok with having another child. In the meantime, I'm good friends with one of the mom's of a girl in that class, who has a lot of weight, and says the teacher owes her big time for helping her set up her new class and donating a whole slew of books and toys, and she's going to email the teacher tonight and ask her to seriously consider taking Alex, because her daughter (Ava) really misses her.

The Director said one other thing we can consider is putting her in the hebrew immersion program - funny considering I ASKED for this over the summer, and she said in no uncertain terms NO because to enroll in that class the child HAS to be 3 by September 1st. Now, they're so willing to put her in the class, huh? She said there are only 5 kids in there, one of which is Alex's best friend, so that's another good alternative. Though, she would be the youngest in that class, but it would be 3 hours of pure hebrew every single day.

She's going to get back to my by tomorrow. In the meantime, Alex's teacher is supposed to call tonight - what in the world do I tell her? That I think she's on crazy, unstructured, deceptive ******?

I would probably tell the teacher that it's just not a good balance for Alex and leave it at that. It's not just the teacher right? It's the mix of kids too.

beth i can't believe they are still giving you the runaround! i really hope this teacher agrees to take her, it seems like it would be such a good fit for alex.
