And our other adventure (cyst removal)...

So lots of fun at Kinder round up then.. the VERY next morning we had her procedure done.

When AJ was born she had a little pinch in her skin at her neck. I loved it. Her little ‘mark’. You know how us moms are.. every little uniqueness makes them ours. But as she got older it got to be from an innie to an outtie. It had a head like a pimple and my aunt once even ‘popped’ it and normal gunk came out. So I figured the pinch got dirty. So we kept it clean etc. Her little pinch. But the tag/pimple never went away. Now she’s nearly 5 and it bothers her. She scratches at it causing it to bust, bleed and she tears up the skin on her neck.

So I took her to a dermatologist. They tried to remove it with a local. That was a bad idea, she wiggled, needle went thru her skin, drama and fear of anything near her neck after that. So we went to a plastic surgeon. It is a cyst and it needs to be removed but its small so should be a 15min deal and they’ll put her out.

So Tuesday morning, she goes in. All is smooth but it takes a lot longer than expected. And they come out to say the cyst was much deeper than they thought. And they had to cut out a lot more than they had expected.

They put an IV in her (just in case) but to remove it they used alcohol pads. Well she scratches her arms from eczema so they are raw and that tape went up her arm so lots of screaming, crying, wiggling. That IV needle finally came out but blood spots everywhere!

She hates the Amox but we are getting thru it. She has a follow up next week to try to get the stitches out but if not they are dissolvable.
