Ok we all know Sanjaya needed to go but I felt soooo bad for him last night.
When they announced that he was going home - the audience gave a HUGE cheer. I know it was mostly Lakisha fans, but still, the look on his face was so sad.
Also - the way they did it was messed up. At every other elimination this season, the person whose name they say first is "safe", so it's appropriate for everyone to cheer. Then they play the deflation music and they say the other person is going home and the audience goes 'awwww'. They didn't do that last night. They set it up so people would cheer at Sanjaya being voted off by calling his name first. I thought that was mean.
IMO
They have USED him to create drama in the show, controversy. Then it's snow balled into this ANTI Sanjaya thing. Creating even more drama so people would watch the show.
The kid is 17 years old.
Now, they even make fun of him just by the way they announced he was gone.
This is really pathetic that grown-ups would take advance of a 17 year old kid. Whether he deserved to be on the show or not.
I WILL NOT BE WATCHING THIS SHOW AGAIN. They made fun of people to their face when they fist do the try-out, they have no respect.
That may seem odd... but how are we supposed to tell our kids about respect when grown-ups act like this!!!
