I think the three Davids are the best of the guys. I'm not sure how I feel about the girls yet though. I really didn't like David Archuleta's redition of Imagine last night at all. It is such a classic song you can't help but compare it to John Lennon. I think the song was too big for him. It's too early for me to pick an absolute favorite.
the 3 David's are my faves so far too!! out of the girls, the only one who really stands out for me is Asia (I think that's the name) and the irish chick Carlie. As for David A. last night, I'm a big John Lennon fan and I thought he did the song justice, even though he started out a little shaky (almost sounded like he didn't know where to start since he skipped the first verse). I'm excited for the rest of this season, I'm sure we'll have some real "shockers" like seasons past of people being ousted a little early (Latoya, Melinda Doolittle etc.). we'll see!!

DH & I both like Michael Johns & David Cook...as for the girls I'm not feeling any of them to much...maybe the pretty Fillipino girl - I forgot her name...other than that the girls this year are  to me...
On a side note - but does anyone else think if you slapped a wig on Danny's head - you'd have Jessica Alba on stage??? Its a bit eerie the resemblance...

Yup... I noticed that last night and posted the same thing on last nights AI thread. It was bugging me who he looked like, and then Jessica Alba just popped into my head!

Well I'm a music purchaser that will eventually choose to purchase a potential album developed by an Idol, so I "may" be a bit qualified in that regard.
As much as we would like to believe this is a singing competition, based on vocal chord ability only, its not, and never will be.
That's why the people with the best voices rarely even make the top 10.

Ok-you're definitely qualified
I am saying that I think the show puts a lot more stock in what the people look like than the voters do-although I think the tween and teens do sway the voting

No!! You aren't!!! I can't STAND David Archuletta.. went on a vent in the AI post from last night about him, so I will spare you...
.. he is waaaayyy over-rated and is getting annoying.
ETA you know a lot since Ruben and Fantasia are some of the least succesful AI winners ever!

 Very true.. I'm not doubting he has a great chance of winning.. I just don't think he should
