The comish! I started to laugh 
It's a good mix of quirky, campy, scary, and heartfelt. Because you do feel badly for them.
The cinematography or whatever is awesome. How they set up the scenes and you feel like you're there with them. I like that.

OMG I'm obsessed - I wrote my 4th year term paper on the rise of traveling carnivals and social stigma of the performers in the 1930s in college for one of my history classes. I've always been intrigued by the culture and impact of "carney folk."
The movie Freaks by Tod Browning will give you nightmares for years.
I still hate Jessica Lange, though.

I LOVED every second of last night's episode. LOVED. I'm so excited for the whole season. This might be my favorite one yet (well, 2nd fave-nothing will ever beat the 1st season for me).

Why does Jessica Lange want the one sister to kill/separate from the other one?
She (Jessica Lange) didn't look happy during the performance .. I couldn't figure that out.

I haven't watched last night's yet but I was BORED TO TEARS the first episode. I'm hoping it gets better but honestly, I've thought every season except the first one has sucked so I have little hope this will end up being good.

Not crazy about this season either. It's like the same scene over and over with this clown....zoom in on his face, ok yes he's scary looking....
I think the Elsa character doesn't like that the twins sing better than her, that's supposed to be her "thing".

This season is AWFUL. It is boring me the PIECES. So far Ive only half assed watch while doing other things bc its boring me.
Others I have spoken too feel the same way.

I'm really not a fan. I don't think it's scary at all. I was scrolling through pinterest while 'watching' it. I fell asleep ten minutes into the first episode. I find it very boring and I can barely understand what they're saying half the time.

I think the second season was the best one because it was the "most real ". I know they're all based on true events but that one scared me the most
This season hasn't scared me yet
Last season was awful in my opinion. The whole Stevie Nicks thing sealed the deal.
Also a friend of mine read somewhere that they bring back characters as a way to show how the decisions you make come back and shape who you are in a "next life"(like a cloud atlas kinda thing)
If I'm not mistaken, each actor brought back fr a new season was a character that died in previously-?
I feel that while you don't have to watch every season because it's not a continuous story, it might help understand why the characters are the way they are and I'm holding out hope that there's gonna be some awesome ending to all this
But if freak show doesn't get better I'm not sticking around to find out lol

I LOVED the first season! Asylum was good but not as good as season 1 and I didn't like Coven at all. I didn't even bother watching this season. I figure I could always watch it on Netflix if it gets rave reviews.

1000% agree. Such an awesome season. No other season can hold a candle to the first. Honestly, I feel like this show has been a one trick pony. Amazing first season and every season since has, IMO, sucked.

ITA, It was a total mind F*ck from start to finish. Asylum scared me because It seemed very plausible that those sort of things took place at King Park psych.

First season was the best. I am liking this season. Seriously twisty the clown when his jaw was knocked off!!!! Ahhhh! The clown alone is keeping me in. I want to know his story. And I love the little Indian princess. I watched her story a few years ago. They put her through some rough treatments. I forget what it was on. But I love her smile.

Elsa is seeking stardom. She is waiting to be discovered. She was unhappy when the twin was singing because of how responsive everyone was to her. For her, they were stealing her spotlight (remember that they also received top billing on the posters and she was in tiny print on the very bottom).

The only thing keeping this show afloat is the wide array of talent participating in the show. It's remotely interesting to see these actors play these characters. The writing sucks. The 1st season was amazing and with each season it's become worse and worse. I was so freaked out watching the 1st season and couldn't wait to see each episode. Now watching it is like a chore.
