We have a bracelet on dd's ankle. I think it helps. Got ours on hazelaid.com
Don't get me wrong though, we have still resorted to Motrin on the rough nights.

Everyone I know who has one has nothing but good things to say about them. We got ours at Inspired by Finn.

Re: amber teething necklaces
DD has been wearing one for a week and I really don't see a difference in behavior...maybe she drools a little less.

Does an ankle one have the same effects as the necklace?

I out one on my son today because he is constantly trying to shove his entire fist (sometimes both) into his mouth. I got mine from hazelaid (recommended by anewdayhascome) and it's on his ankle.
How long until you see results?
Also when do you give Tylenol? Or is Motrin better?

Yes it's just shorter. I had the necklace double wrapped on her ankle. Recently we lost it (not lost from her body I misplaced it) and she started picking at her teeth again. So I ordered the bracelet which is now single wrapped on her ankle bc it falls off her wrist.
Keep in mind you shouldn't take it off. It needs to stay warmed on the body and the longer they wear the better it works.
Tonight I gave Motrin bc I can see two teeth about to cut through and she is touching the area a lot.

Once our doc said he was old enough for Motrin - which was around six months - we gave him that and I do feel it works better because it lasts longer. I think Tylenol is every 4-6 hours and Motrin is a good 8 hours, which helps.
But yeah he does seem to respond better to Motrin - and doc said it has something in there for that achey feeling which goes a long way.

Haha thanks for the shout out. Make sure he wears it 24/7 except baths.
Tylenol works, but I think Motrin is even better. We have only resorted to that in the middle of the night when she is hysterical. Trust me, you will know the difference of a cry that he can't get himself back to sleep vs a cry that he is in pain.

I bought the 5.5" bracelet/anklet from hazelaid and it is super tight on DS's pudgy ankle. It literally leaves a mark on his skin. I had it on for about 8 hrs and took it off bc of this. Is he just too chunky for it or is it supposed to be that tight?

Re: amber teething necklaces
We got our anklet off Amazon. The first one we had was butter color. It worked wonders. We started seeing a happier baby within 2-3 days. We lost it and our newer one is honey. She has been wearing it about a week but It doesn't work quite as well as the butter. (or maybe she has become grumpier in her old age ) Go with the lightest color you can find.

I don't have one but everyone I know who used them still complained about terrible teething.
We never used anything.

I bathed him yesterday with it on, is that bad?

I would take it off from now on for baths.

Just clean it off. Run it under water and scrub with a sponge. No soap. You just dont want them to get caked with a layer of goop. Same goes for chlorine and salt water so take it off before swimming too.
