Amazing Birthday Party-Thanks especially to Sumlynmad!
I will not be doing this size birthday party ever again. We were running late due to some parent calling the day of (and had at least 10 kids come that were not expected) We had easily 33 plus kids (DH did a count off last night and Its 38 exact including held babies and came close to our 85 person limit. The weather was amazing, the bakeries did an amazing job and thanks to Sumlynmad (Summer) I have the best shots of the girls ever (you can tell the shots the non pro(ME) took--trust me) It was held at Queens county farm Museum-they were the best--even helped us clean up the big mess at the end. The kids loved the hayride and OMG they went crazy for the tour/feeding of the animals--we had to beg the lot of them (parents too) to come cut the cake lol.
We did the cupake tower and regular cake as well (We chose Buttercream & fondant-most kids took off the part of the cake that had bits of fondant (the spots). Also buttercream does not like heat lol) Favors I went a bit nuts-I bought the babies sterling silver spoons shaped like animals, stuffed animals, animal beach balls, make your own animal balloons. we also did Cds and books and my favorite the candy Buffet (parents were not happy--kids were weighing in between eating food and going straight to desert
Anyways my advice is dont go crazy having too many kids--it can be fun but I do think it can get overwhelming having too many. Fun but Mommy is pooped. It was worth it for my girls though, they had a great time and slept ALL night! Image Attachment(s):
