Am I wrong?
DH made dinner. He made tacos. This is not the first time he has made them. I don't like anything spicy...DH loves everything super hot. Normally....he puts hot salsa on his tacos and I don't. Today, he decides he is going to mix the hot salsa with the taco meat for everyone I tasted it...it was so hot my mouth was burning. So, I didn't eat them, and said I would make something else for myself. Now, he's mad and said never to ask him to make dinner again I told him if he wanted to spice it up, he should have mixed the taco meat and left me some plain in a bowl!
Now...I worked all day at a client and DH was home ALL DAY! Since I have been home, I have put away all the laundry, gave the baby dinner, gave her a bath, playtime, bedtime, and was looking forward to eating dinner...now I'm starving and DH is mad.

Re: Am I wrong?
No way are you wrong.
He should have thought to take some meat out for you before spicing it up. I bet he messed up and instead of apologizing, just got even more mad... and took it out on you.

Re: Am I wrong?
I don't think you are wrong. He could have seasoned his own instead of making the whole batch so spicy. My husband likes things spicier than I and that is what we do.
I would leave him with the baby and go to Taco Bell now.

Re: Am I wrong?
even though he should have taken some out for you, I think it's probably how you said it not what you said that evoked that response.
Still not your fault, but after the day you had I probably would have gone ape sh!t too.
Go get yourself some Carvel and take a bath.

The baby is asleep...and I really want to go to Taco Bell...but I really don't want to argue all night about this, and I know that's what will happen if I go!

Re: Am I wrong?
This is my take on it...he may be angry but there is no way he thinks he's right in this. It was an undeniable selfish mood.
I wouldn't be outwardly angry. I wouldn't fight. I wouldn't be overly nice either.
If he pushes the issue, I would say "It was selfish & I don't want to get into it."
Then let him stew in guilt for awhile.
But then again, I can be passive agressive.

Re: Am I wrong?
You are not wrong at all. When I cook, I take into consideration the likes and dislikes of who I am cooking for and adjust accordingly and I expect the same courtesy. What a lot of men don't understand is that not EVERYONE likes it the way THEY like it... they just don't get it.
Yes- it was nice of him to make dinner. But if he made it HIS way knowing you wouldn't/couldn't eat it that way, then what good does it do??

Re: Am I wrong?
No, you're not wrong at all. It was very inconsiderate of him to do that. And it's ridiculous to now be mad that you didn't want to eat something that was too spicy for you.
