am i the only one who doesn't use a sleep sac?

i noticed on the thread from last night, asking about what kids were wearing to bed last night, that MANY of you put your kids in sleep sacs?

it never even occured to me to have him in a sleep sac at 11 months? when do most kids stop using the sleep sac?

i only use feety pjs - havent used a sleep sac since he was about 3-4 months?

We stopped using a sleep sack around 9.5 months. I now let him sleep with a blanket.

I did it because it was a transition from the swaddle.
She was a huge swaddle juikie (actually I was!) and this was the next step down.
Also- it was winter when i stopped swaddling and I wanted her to be warm- her room gets cold at night. I figured it was safer than a regular blanket in the crib.

When summer comes she will be out of it.

DD just turned one and we are still using it. I only use it because when she rolls over her blanket comes off. Once the weather is warmer I will stop using it.

We used them when we transitioned from the swaddle so the kids wouldn't feel "naked" and now it's part of our nightime routine - DS asks for his and DD says "na-na" (night night) when we put hers on There is nothing wrong with not using on, but I personally didn't feel comfortable with giving DS a blanket until he was 2 and I'll do the same for DD.

We haven't had DD in a sleep sack since she was an infant. Her room is always pretty comfortable and she's dressed in warm PJs in the colder months. I always imagine she would trip if and when she gets up with a sleep sack

i used one as well to transition and keep warm from the swaddle. It lasted only for a little bit maybe 3-5/6 months. Once she started crawling, standing that was over. she couldn't move around and would wake up screaming.

Now she sleeps in cotton pj's and a blanket that she actually sleeps on top of but she is not cold

We used them till DS was well over 2.

He could even shuffle around in them.

It gets cold in our house and he moves around so much in his sleep he would never keep a blanket on.

No sleep sac here. We havent used one since Travis was maybe 5 months old.

We used them in transitioning DS from the swaddle me around 5 months. We stopped using them at 6 months.

DS uses feetie pajamas as well - and he has a blanket (but, he uses it more as a lovey than an actual blanket).

I don't use a sleep sac...I haven't used one since DS was 1 month old

We used one for Landon until a year. We are still using them for the twins (they are 9 months) because they will love leave a blanket on and roll and crawl all around their cribs.

DD is 2 years old and I use a sleep sack because she travels all over the bed thru the night. She would never keep a blanket on and I know for me...I like to sleep with something on me so I try to do that for her. Now she is in the sleepsack with the feet holes.

I don't think anything is wrong with not using one.

We use it because it seems so comfy. DS is all over the crib while sleeping so a regular blanket just doesn't stay on. It is also part of our routine so he knows it is "night night" time.

We stopped using the sleep sack around 6 months. Maybe even a bit earlier. I gave his a small blanket that he doesn't even use. It's very warm in the boys room. Even with the heat off. So he's never cold.

i only started using sleep sacks when my son was about 13 months old- used them through the winter- he is such a restless sleeper and it keeps him warm
he is also a belly sleeper so i ind it easier to keep blankets on him this way

now that it is getting warm we only use it on cool nights

DD has NEVER used a sleep sack. I ummm, think they're kind of weird.

She was never swaddled either..she hated it.

She slept in feeties all fall/winter and we have a heater in her room..she's more than comfortable.

Nope. Probably used it once or twice.

We only used them for DS in the winter he was born in. He was born in November and I think by March we had stopped using it.
