am i the only one...
who can't wear heels?? i'm so jealous of you ladies! i swear i was absent that day in school...did they take you out of the class and teach you how to walk in them? i have a bad back so i shouldnt wear them anyway, but i love them! also im 5'9" so being any taller sucks. so i live in flats and live through all of you! just saying lol

I used to all the time for work, and then..one day, they just killed! I dread having to wear them! I also am tall, about the same as you, so I feel like a giant!

I can't wear flats because they kill my feet but I also can't wear very high heels.
The highest I can go is 3 inches and that is pushing it.
The first reason is I am 5 9 so anything more than 3 inches and I tower over even most men.
Even at 3 inches it puts me at 6 feet tall
But the main reason is, although I can walk in them, I have yet to find a high heeled shoe that does not MURDER my feet.
I have super wide feet and it seems all these shoes are made for people with skinny feet.
Even wide widths hurt.

I can't. I can't even wear a 1 inch heel without wanting the chop my feet off from the pain.
It sucks so bad because I have a serious love for shoes. I guess it's good that I can't wear them or I'd be broke!
Flats are it for me.

I can't wear heels anymore because I broke a bone in my foot a few years back and I just can't wear heels without pain anymore.
I'm also 5'9" but I don't let that stop me. I still own and put heels on occasionally. I just suffer A LOT while I'm wearing them, so I don't do it too often.
Where's Chatham-Chick? She's taller than everyone (on this thread at least) and she rocks 4" heels without batting an eye.

I know. I'm jealous of that.
My issue is my DH too.
He is the same height as me and for some reason he has a complex about me being that much taller than him.

I can't wear them either. Right now I'm wearing a pair around the house trying to get used to them. They are killing my toe that I broke a few months ago.

i can wear something with a tinnnnnny one inch heel to dinner but not to anything that requires moving around alot lol
i am 5ft10in. naked so i am a definate linebacker in heels...PLUS they are torturous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and bad for you as well!

It's not like they are comfortable. I suffer through it because I love how they look... and my DH is 6'8".
ETA: I think sometimes shoes don't fit people right or they buy cheap shoes, too. I spend more money on my heels and I have gone down half a size and that has REALLY helped. Also, I find certain brands to be more comfy than others. Jessica Simpson are my go to comfort shoes- I used to wear them to salsa class!

I love the look of heels and own a few but my feet must be sensistive or something because I can't last more than 2 hours before my feet are killing me. I wear flats 99% of the time, heels are for special occasions only.

I miss my heels. Never cared that they made me super tall (5'10'' in bare feet).
Degenerative arthritis in my knees and osteoarthritis in my foot keep me in nothing higher than a 1 inch heel.
I wear mostly flats to work, but they have to have good support and a little heel.

A day in heels kills my knees!! And I usually end up with blisters. My feet are wide in the front & I need really good arch support to be comfortable. I rarely wear heels, usually just when I get dressed up for an event.

I LOVE heels, but they hurt something fierce. Recently they have started hurting the top of my foot and I can't figure out why. I also have a weird problem where if I don't have a heel with some sort of strap then they fall off of me no matter what I do. My DH is 6 9 and I love when I wear them and we walk in somewhere and everybody looks at us like giants

I used to only wear heels. not any more. a few reasons--terrible back issues. carrying my babies, being able to run after a toddler at a moment's notice. got fed up with foot pain and complaining about how much my feet hurt. my left foot is very crooked and lots of shoes really hurt my left foot especially, and i get terrible calluses because my feet put pressure in odd places.
I'm happier since wearing flats. I keep heels in my office and wear them if I am going to a meeting or to court.

Yup me too- I thought it was my Fred Flinstone feet!
There is a girl in my office who wears a 5 inch heel with a huge platform EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
I marvel at how she isn't in pain!
But maybe she is!

This is me too-I can do them for special occasions, for a short time, but I like flats for everyday. I am 5'10" so I have a "I look like a m-f-ing giant" complex when I wear heels. I wish I could be a tall girl who didn't think that, but I'm not.

I am a heel lover. I have big feet and feel like flats make them look even bigger. I always wear at least 3 " heels. My dh is 6'5" and I am 5'8 so he still towers ovr me even in heels.

no you arent alone! i cant wear heals...but thankfully DH is short so he is my excuse 
the truth is they KILL my feet...i have such a hard time finding any comfortable shoes (even flats!) so heals are out of the questions. DH and i are the same height and i dont like towering over him so it all worked out
i am so jealous of ladies that wear them...high heels are hot!!! flats make me look/feel like an old lady but at least i am comfortable
