Am I the only neurotic one?
When cleaning up DD's toys I am obsessive over making sure every set has all its parts. I can't stand leaving toys that have rolled under the couch. I sit there and count every 55 pieces of legos, 102 pieces of megablocks, 8 dollhouse pieces, every 24 blocks, 6 balls, 17 flashcards, 16 crayons, 37 piece legos, 10 shape sorting pieces.. etc. you get the point. I feel OCD!

I use to be that way...I'd count and make sure everything was there and if not I'd move every peice of furniture until I found it...then when my husband would clean up he could care less let alone put things back in the right containers...so since then a lot of things have gone missing and now I just try and put everything back right with all the pieces

I'm like that too. I dont count pieces but I know what pieces go with certain toys and I HAVE to find them or it bothers me.

LOL! Me too! I am a neat nut and always cleaning up, but gave up on making sure everything has it's pieces. I like things neat and organized, but now I make sure it looks neat or put in a drawer or cabinet.

I try to be like that. And i was like that until #3 came along! I just don't have it in me at the end of the day anymore. Now, i just make sure that whatever pieces i see on the floor go with the right toys. Anything that has found it's way under the couch does not find it's way back out until the end of the week when i do a full vacuum and mop.

I like the toys to have their parts but I'm nowhere near that concerned. DH cannot stand messes, so he is constantly grabbing all the toys and stuffing them into bins/bags. It's all a big mish-mosh of toy pieces and I hate it but apparently not enough to do something about it.

If I did that, I'd go insane!
Crayons go in a tupperware container. As they break, I toss them. Same with markers.
Megablocks & other blocks have their own containers. I don't count them (and find them in the bathtub occasionally).
As for other things with small pieces, I usually throw them out after a few uses and they create a mess (like flashcards or puzzles).

Now.........forget it, I'd be drugged on xanex my whole life if I was like that
And I would spend hours I don't have searching for effing legos !! I HATE legos !!!

I might count to make sure all 6 princesses are in the Little People castle (since I know she'll look for them if missing) but counting 100 Megablocks and 50 Legos??? No way.
Think of all the free time you'd have if you didn't do this! Have a glass of wine and put your feet up!

I was like that for a hot minute, but gave up on it a long time ago. The second I find all the pieces to a toy, DS moves it and they're gone again.
There's been a ball stuck under our couch for months. I can't reach it to get it out, but wee're moving in a few months so I'll rescue it then!

Me! We are currently missing a piece of a toy, and it is annoying the hell out of me bc I have no clue where it could be and it never left the one room! I always take inventory when cleaning up, but DD was playing with my sis and they cleaned up and are missing the part.

I dont sit there and count everything but I like to make sure all of the dollhouse stuff goes back in the dollhouse, kitchen stuff in the kitchen, etc. I hate when my DH has the kids clean up the house because they just launch everything into the middle of the playroom floor.

 It does bother me when something obvious goes missing but I definitely wouldn't spend time counting legos.
