Re: Am I ready?
I am 30 and I lost an ovary last year...we will be married 2 years in April...I wanted to start trying to because until you do, you never know if there is a problem.

I dont necessarily think anything tells you your ready but I think as you go through your pregnancy you will learn to just absolutely love being pregnant and know that you are ready. When I first found out I was like OMG! I didnt know whether to be elated or to cry. I thought of everything from life changes, to finances, to absolutely loving the idea. I think every emotion is hit when you realize you are going to have a baby. I am in my 36 week and I know I am going to do the best job I can as a mother. I love the baby and how it feels and moves inside. Its such an experience! (though I am a little tired now ; ) )

Re: Am I ready?
I felt ready as an individual and couple emotionally and physically being 31. It was very much a joint decision and planned pregnancy.

Re: Am I ready?
I was ready and ended up getting sick. Got my health all back in order and once the Dr.s gave me the "Ok" DH and I were so excited to start trying. It took us 9 months to get pg. Of course I was getting a little upset, scared that something was wrong and when I least expected it, I got my BFP. I believe you and only you will know when you are ready. I believe there is a plan for everyone!

Re: Am I ready?
I wasn't ready. I wanted to wait a year because I was repeatedly not ready. We're all winging this parenthood thing. I don't think anyone can be prepared to have a baby. Sure you can have all of your stuff, be financially ready but nothing is going to truly prepare you for the depth of emotion & love you'll feel. You won't truly understand what I mean until they're in your arms.
A baby enhances everything. The only thing I would say is to make sure you really like (not just love) the person you decide to have the baby. Because he gets 50/50 say in the baby until he/she is 21.

thanks..I am emotionally ready. I think DH is scared, but so am I. I think he is ready too. I would like to start trying in March. Hopefully my health issues will be in check. He will make such a great daddy.
