am I over reacting?

So I went to the gym this afternoon...

When I was changing in the locker room I noticed what looked like a woman 'touching up her highlights'.. you know, with the bottle... rubbing it into the roots. I didn't think anything of it, perhaps it was some kind of conditioner.

After I completed my run, went back down to the locker room and saw her walking towards the showers... head FULL of brown/black dye.

The counter where she was 'applying' had smudges of brown all over it as if someone smeared sh*t... AND on the floor, globs of hair dye.

I proceeded towards the shower and realized she was in the shower NEXT to me, rinsing it all off.

The showers REEKED of chemicals.

is it ME or is this just a LITTLE gross and unsanitary...

Re: am I over reacting?

i think that's pretty effing rude of her to do at the gym. i mean she could be leaving stains and stuff? not to mention its a gym--not a hair salon. other people probably don't want to smell that stuff in there.

thats so ghetto faaaaaaaaaab

that's what I was thinking...

that and 'I hate coming to this gym...'
(its Ballys so I usually go to the one by my home where no one touches up their highlights)

I think its pretty rude to the people who work there. They will have to clean up after her. Who knows if those stains will even come out.

I mean, shampoo, condition, use some product fine. I've even seen people shave in the gym. But touching up your roots- and making such a mess. That's just wrong.

Good. I don't think you are over-reacting. That is not the place to get your hair did Chat Icon

No you're not overreacting. Let her mess up her own bathroom. That's completely inappropriate.

Is this the Bally's near the mall in Babylon just off the Sunrise?

Nope, the one on Old Country Road next to Chateau Briand.

It's AWFUL... all the machines are old or broken, lockers all jacked up. I hate it but its 5 minutes away from work.

When I first moved out here I went to the one in Bayshore, I meant to say Bayshore in my previous post, same thing it was a pit. The one in Lake Grove is much nicer.

this is the one I actually JOINED with... lucky for me, I moved to flushing and the one on horace harding was JUST redone.... it's so pretty..

I wish I could join my husband's gym but Ive been a member for over 6 years and I only pay like 14.00 a month..

Re: am I over reacting?

Tha'ts disgusting. A gym shower is used to quickly rinse off the sweat from your workout---so al ittle shower gel and shampoo---that's it. dying your hair???? EEWW!!! shaving your legs? Gross--- do it at home in a bathroom that doesn't have to be shared with hundreds of people.

Besides the mess what about that smell. Tell her to go stink up her own home. That locker room must be stinking the sweet smell of sweat mixed with hair dyeChat Icon

I saw a woman brush her flower at the gym once.

The brush looked like this:
