am i going to have a giant baby?
slightly freaking out over here
i'm 36.5 weeks - went for sono and check-up and the dr said  is 7lbs 8oz already!
they're going to monitor me in a week (doing several tests, not really sure which ones, but hooking him up to some sort of monitor to see how he's grown i guess).
Thing is, all along i haven't gained too much weight (about 15 lbs total) They've been saying that my weight is good every time i go, so i can't be eating too much right?
now i'm getting freaked out that in the next 3-4 weeks he's going to be growing like crazy and i won't be able to deliver naturally
any help/advice to calm me down? How much more will he grow?

Dont freak out.
1. Those estimations can be off! it's not definite that your baby is that size.
2. Women can naturally give birth to a 9lb + baby. My mom gave birth to my sister and me naturally (no epi) and we were both close to 10 lbs!
I would take those weight estimations with a grain of a salt..You never know!

ITA. They kept telling my friend the baby will be almost 9lbs and she was so freaked out. The baby was born and came in at just under 7lbs! The same thing happened to another friend so I tend not to take the estimates too seriously.

My dd was approximately 8lbs 4oz at 36.6 weeks I delivered her 12 hrs later at 37 weeks and she was 7lbs 10oz still considered a big baby they said had I gone full term with her she would have been at or over 10lbs hang in there try not to worry a lot of women deliver 10+lb babys naturally

Estimates are always a little off...plus DH's ex-wife gave birth to my stepson, who was 11lb 3oz naturally!

Dd measured 7-1 at 35 weeks...born at 9-2.
They gain about. 5/week at this point. So mine was right on.
Everyone commented how big she was, but my other 2 were 10+, so we call her peanut. Lol
