Am I being a paranoid FTM?
My mom is in the hospital. She is not contagious and she's pretty down about being there so I really need to visit I have a 7 week old baby at home who hasn't had her shots yet and I can't shake the fear of me picking something up while I'm there and bringing it home to dd.
The ironic part is that I work in a hospital and have seen many new moms (mostly doctors and nurses) return to work after 6 weeks, so I know I'm being irrational.
Someone talk me off a ledge here.....

I would go. Just change your clothes and wash your hands well when you leave.

I would go. I would be more worried about taking my older DD who touches EVERYTHING.

I would go. My sil had surgery when DD2 was a few weeks old and we all went to visit her. Lots of hand washing, any time we passed an antibacterial dispenser, we used it, and we kept her in the car seat/stroller completely covered up.

I would absolutely go and obviously leave the baby home. In fact I visited someone in the hospital when dd2 was only about a month old. Just wash your hands well before touching your baby.

Visit your Mom -
You're taking the baby into a hospital - you're going to see your Mom.
DH works in a hospital ......he came over night to our kids 
And we both work in the city, take the trains etc etc .......

Go...the first few rounds of shots a literally protects them from nothing anyway.
