Alternatives to cable TV in NYC
Does anyone live in the 5 Boros and NOT have cable TV? My Verizon FIOS contract is expiring and I want to explore other options like the firestick, Roku etc.
I know I have to keep internet which last time I checked wasn't much less than my basic cable package.
Who are the other internet service providers? I don't have time to call around...
What cable TV alternatives do others use in NYC?

Re: Alternatives to cable TV in NYC
We have TWC. We have had problems for years but they are the only service we can use. We ended up keeping Internet, basic tv, and then using our Apple TV. We pay about 130ish with taxes for one of the very high speed internet packages because my husband needs it for work and the basic cable. We buy season passes for shows we can't get on TWC now.
ETA: it would have been 85ish for just internet alone plus taxes.

We have Fios but I really like it so I guess I'm no help! I had RCN years ago and it was a cheap version of TWC/Fios. It was fine.
