Kellyanne Conway just went on television and called the outright lies by the new press secretary on behalf of the president "alternative facts".
Kinda like we're living in an alternative reality

And to answer the question. Alternative facts are lies so I would be interested in knowing what she considered alternative facts before sending out the firing squad. The Trump organization should have never had that press briefing to begin with.

There are always people that refuse to hear the truth from both sides of everything. The amount of stereotyping in this election and now Presidency is staggering, from both sides. Maybe if people weren't put on the defensive at every turn people would realize the majority are like me and not like the ones who are screaming the loudest. I do think that the media (most of it anyway) is out to get Trump and Republicans and I would have been fully behind the briefing if he told the truth.

How is the media out to get Trump by showing aerial shots of the empty national mall? They show aerial shots of every inauguration. Multiple live cameras by different networks. How is this an attack on Trump? It's not the media's fault he wasn't able to draw much of a crowd. And now he and the lollipop guild are outright lying to the public, coining stupid terms like 'alternative facts'. He's already insulting the office. Then that pathetic speech he made at the CIA where he spent all that time going on about the crowd he swore he saw. This isn't about either side. This is about the man's deflated ego and his inability to accept that outside his rallies he's not the greatest president of all time. How is this excusable at all?
How about the fact that the Parks Dept was banned from tweeting after they had tweeted that pic? HE should be banned from tweeting.

I dont know what is scarier, that we live in a world that "alternative facts" are being given by the White House and its staff OR that there are people who not only willing accept it but ACTIVELY DEFEND it.

I wouldn't want to be made to feel like I was a fool for "supporting" a certain political but this isn't even the first crazy thing Trump has done that has scared the pants off people. Read this article, and truly think about if this man is conducting himself appropriately. I personally can't stand him but I don't want him to fail because then we all do. I REALLY don't want him bullying the media or threatening them through Conway or any other "advisor" either. Some of her veiled threats on Meet The Press are unbelievable.

I do! It's the people who defend it! We have mechanisms to protect against this sort of craziness and the first line of defense is SUPPOSED to be the people. So, society is to blame for this. He should never have been elected in the first place. Let's not forget that Donald "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters" Trump has been energized by the fact that his supporters let him get away with this crap.

Conway is supposed to be a spokeswoman and advisor for Trump. This woman was confronted with LIES and instead of admitting to them came up with this bogus "alternative facts" line. Trump is used to being able to do whatever the hell he wants in his private company where his word is the end of every conversation. Democracy doesn't work like that and he can't handle it. He has been trying to discredit the press and anyone who questions him. You know how you get people to trust you? Answer questions and be transparent. He's lying about crowd sizes and "ratings?" who cares?! You're the President, you should be above that nonsense. She actually said that if she is treated "like this" (meaning, asked for the truth) on Meet the Press that she will rethink their relationship. They have also floated the idea of keeping the press out of the West Wing. Why? Lots to hide. Trump doesn't want people asking questions.
The time has come for Republicans to make a decision. Are you a Republican or a Trump supporter because you can be a Republican and still not support the shit show that we have going on right now. If you support a *****-grabbing egomaniac who delivered a populist Inaugural address written by a white supremacist, who can't stay off of Twitter and is consumed by small, petty problems...you choose.
