All the looting....
Im not talking about looting for food. Im talking about the people who are looting and taking big screen TV's and Radios and CD's.
They just said something on ABC that they were trying to fly supplies and drugs in for a hospital. But they couldn't land cause there were looters on the runway with guns.
A police officer was shot I think Tuesday night.
Obviosuly disasters dont bring out the best in people.

Yeah, a PO was shot in the head on Tuesday and in critical conidtion! I wouldn't be surprised if there have been more incidents.
And seriously, I can understand looting for food, water, diapers but not a plasma and Nikes!

I cant imagine what its like in Biloxi! I visited there a few years ago. The strip of casinos is gone and people are looting the machines....I can imagine how much cash is in the ruins!

Its terrible It also amazes me how many civilians down there own firearms!! That is so scary. People were reported on top of the dome shooting at the helicopters. I hope after everything is said and done, the NRA realizes how wrong the situation is.

I just read about this as well - it sounds like things are getting worse down there.
I also heard an undenied rumor of 4 rapes taking place in the dome. As well as armed thugs at the hospital not allowing sick babies to evacuate!! Imagine if they did not have guns, the situation would be very different. off my soapbox now, just had to vent

I was under the impression (from news reports) a lot of the firearms (I'm not saying all and in NO WAY defending ridiculous gun laws) were gotten from looting as well.
It's all just so unbelievable and sad.

What truly, truly amazes me is that I heard on the news that the governor diverted 1500 police officers from rescue operations to go take care of the looters. Yes, it's wrong to loot, but I'm sorry, saving a diabetic's life who is stranded in the attic of a house is a little more important than saving Walmart from looting!  What the heck is this world coming to???

Yes I heard all the guns in walmart were stolen- the gangs are trying to take over and get new turf- whats wrong with these people!!!!! the PO should shoot all that are looting for anything else than food- Im sorry they cant land b/c of armed looters - shoot them! No I have no mercy for azzholes- especially in a time of need when innocent people are dying. on the oreilly factor he said they have some type of serious guns too- i cant remember the name and that they need to disarmed and fast!

They do have serious guns they have Ak47's and the like!
I find it so rediculous they are trying to take over new turf...why would you want that turf right now?  I think that anyone who gets evacuated out of the city should be forced to give up the weapon (yeah yeah right to bare arms) and that if you have items that looks like you got by looting you can either leave them behind or YOU get left behind.
People who get left behind are going to die because of disease and lack of food and water.
Harsh? Yes! But desperate times call for desperate measures and people need to be reminded that thier is still a government and there are still laws.

While I agree that they shouldn't be leaving the sick... Id much rather them get the looters and the guns off the street. You can't help the sick people if the people with the medicine are getting shot at!!! They said Looters stormed the Hospitals with guns for Drugs. How can they treet the sick like that?

One cop said they should be able to shoot the looters, put on a toe tag that says "looter" and leave them until the good people are done being rescued then go clean them up... In a way Im all for that. It would stop some looting of TV's. BRING IN THE ARMY (whats left here anyway)

Did you see the people that are staying on the highway.....This one woman was sitting next to the body of her husband...He had a heart attack the night before.
The cops told her to wrap him in a sheet, and that there is nothing they could do for him...
Its sad, because there is nothing they could do for him....there is nothing left.....
I watched the show on tv last night about whats going on there, and I cannot believe what I saw.....Its like a war zone

I saw that woman too, (I think the same one) but she also said the police told her to move the body, so the smell wouldn't start to bother other people. WHAT??? Maybe they could have helped her with that???
