AJ's Alpha Projects : Z is for Zero, Zebra, Zipper craft

So I had this idea to cut out a shape of a zebra and use an outline. But she saw the excess left overs and asked "Can we use this?" her project so why not. Just wanted to die because I put a lot of effort into detail and she picked the scraps!

Letters were cut out because she was helping me 'spell' each word. We both got tired so I did Zipper

Most expensive thing in this craft the paper. Took her to Michaels with me. I picked plain Zebra scrapbook paper but then she saw the sparkly one. I tried to redirect her but no way. She HAD to have it. Had tons of fun scraping it with her nails too.

Zipper was $1.49 but I got both the zipper and the paper discounted (its good to work at Michaels sometimes) haha Each at 40% then an additional 15% off the total (this weeks coupon).

The bulky Z was supposed to be a dollar. But honest to god, I didn't know... it was marked out of inventory so they can't charge for it. I made the hubby 'buy' it. Which is to say it was free. We call them Penny Items. Employees can't buy them and we have to notify management and remove them off the shelves if we get one at our register but they are free to the customer granted they can't go back for more. Recent penny items found in Michaels have been rinestone stickers and the marshmallow shooter! all put into the trash at my store.
