If anyone will, it should be her. For one thing, the whole point of the song is being older and looking upon your youth...("I can smile at the old days, I was beautiful then..."). It's sung by the old w h o r e cat in Cats.
Funny thing is I sang it on tour when I was about 26... I surely hadn't lived enough life yet! And David Archuletta couldn't be more wrong for this song. But that wouldn't stop him, that's for sure!!
oh gross I just had a thought- he could do "Music of the Night"
Michael Johns woulda been awesome at that.
David Cook HAS to do something from JC Superstar. He would rock! That's my fave ALW musical.

I missed the first part of AI last night and I forgot to DVR it in advance.. can someone please tell me what song Mariah sang last night? Can someone tell me where I can catch the performance on the internet? Maybe you tube? Thanks!

If David A. does music of the night then i'm glad I saw Phantom of the opera 3 times cuz after hearing David sing any song from Phantom it would turn me off from seeing the play ever again cuz i'll see is that stupid geeky monkey face...

Mariah Carey sang "byebye"...it's off her new album, I hadn't heard it before, I don't think it's been on the radio. It wasn't bad, but she was making these odd hand gestures, another poster said it was like she was conducting.
I think you can view the performances on Idol.com, but maybe utube has the whole episode....
