Ah! 8-month-old grinding teeth!
My daughter has two bottom teeth and one of her top two broke the gum. It's not all the way down, but I can see enamel on top. I'm hearing the WORST noise--she's not doing it all the time, but she's doing it. I hope to heck she doesn't start doing it in her sleep. She's grinding her baby teeth. What do I do? I keep giving her icy teethers and her pacie. Should I call pedi? It started (I only noticed it then; hopefully it wasn't sooner) about 2 days ago.

My DS (9mo) has 5 teeth and does this too. It's just them playing with their new toys...  It's something new in their mouths and I really don't think it's a bad thing at this point.

It's totally normal. Dd still does it at 15 mths from time to time. It's the worst noise but it's their teeth bothering them. Try to ignore it and do what you are doing. It's hard to ignore and makes your teeth hurt I know

Totally normal. DD did this for awhile and it use to drive me insane then all of a sudden she just stopped. I haven't heard her do it in awhile.

Thanks, mamas. It sounds like she's got a ton of pebbles in there and makes my skin crawl! Hope it stops soon, but glad to hear it's normal!
