Aging ovaries
My day 3 and day 21 showed my ovaries are "aging" more than they should for a 25 yr old. My dr got me down because I asked if I'll get pregnant again and he said "I don;t know" i knew there was something wrong after 12 months of ttc when it took us 2 months for DS. I'm having a clomiphene challenge done, starting clomid wednesday. I just feel so devastated about this. Does anyone know anything about this. I'm so afraid I won't conceive again because my ovaries are aged

Re: Aging ovaries
How did he determine that your ovaries are aging? With FSH result?? If so, do you remember what's the number he told you? I'm sorry you are going through this. Don't lose hope. I'm sure the dr. will suggest a route to give you a baby, whether if it's IUI or IVF. Good luck!

Re: Aging ovaries
I dont know anything about aging ovaries but I wanted to give you a . Perhaps thats not the determining factor in why you havent had a BFP and with a little help from the RE you will get one. Dont get yourself down.

Re: Aging ovaries
Go see an RE. I have "aging ovaries" too and the RE never said that I can't get pregnant. It might take IUI, IVF, some meds and some time, but it will happen.
If your FSH # is that bad you are going to needs meds that are stronger than clomid and you will have to be monitored. Get a referal for an RE and get a consult.
Good luck!!

Re: Aging ovaries
I agree that you should be seeing an RE if you haven't already. My understanding is that FSH measures ovarian reserve, but age is a big factor in determining egg quality and you are still very young! Stay hopeful!

Re: Aging ovaries
If you are not seeing an RE, then you should make an appointment. I agree with a PP about taking different meds to help your issue. Good Luck

Your FSH is actually really good. I'm not sure why your OB/GYN said those things to you but I'm sure there has to be a reason not related to your FSH for him to make a judgement like that. Please make an appointment with a RE to get a professional opinion. In the mean time, you should contact your OB/GYN again and ask him/or how he came to that conclusion when your FSH is very normal?
Good luck!

Re: Aging ovaries
are you seeing an RE? I would be sure to find a good specialist and run/re-run tests to confirm. You need a clear plan.

Re: Aging ovaries
Don't be discouraged! I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve at 27. I conceived my at through IVF and I just got PG again without any intervention! There is def. hope!!! If it happened to me it can happen to anyone!
