Re: After spay/neuter
no, he didn't change.
What did change was his marking and humping. They didn't stop right away, but within a month or 2.

Re: After spay/neuter
Nope. Our male cat is just as sweet as he ever was. We were kinda HOPING our female cat would "tone it down" a little bit...she's a howler...but no such luck.

Re: After spay/neuter
Neither of mine. We thought our boy might calm down, but he has not changed ONE bit 2+ years later. Apparently (as the vet reassured us) the change in personality that people often attribute to being neutered or spayed comes from the dog turning a certain age around when fixed, not actually from being fixed. KWIM?

Re: After spay/neuter
Nope! Maybe the day we got her home and the next day she was a little sore and not herself, but after that she was just as nuts as she was when we dropped her off.

Re: After spay/neuter
Not at all - she just wanted to start playing right away and jumping around and we kept having to yell at her to stay down!

Re: After spay/neuter
the instructions say that the kittens shouldn't jump around.
I asked the vet if he was joking. How do you expect me to get them not to jump around? They are kittens!
Um, doc, is that a joke?

Just do your best. My little girl doggie kept trying to jump and would squeal as she did it. It was heartbreaking. She wound up developing a seroma (fluid filled sac) under the incision site from trying to jump too soon. It just took longer to heal than expected b/c of that.
Just do the best you can.
