$0 for each boy! Our insurance is a life saver..especially since DH works for the government and his pay is only eh....lol. It's ONE area that has benefited us!

i paid $700 in 2009, and about 3k last year for DD. Different insurance--and I paid 20% OOP.

OOP, I paid around $500 for stay and anesthesia. Had dd in stonybrook and the actual bill was something like 15k  I'd say DH has some good insurance

Thousands. DS was in the NICU and after our max our insurance only covered 80%.

I had a $300 copay and I had to pay the anesthesiologist around $600 since they were out of network and wouldn't work to accept just what insurance offers (basically it's on the form I signed when getting my epi)... So $900 (well, I'm technically still paying the anesthesiologist).
ETA - I did have some lab copays, an initial copay ($15) and then a $50 l&d copay after I fell as well... I would say $200 in incidentals.
If the anestesiologists told you this - this is NOT correct - if they are who the hospital contract with for services they can not make you sign (especially while you are in labor) to say you are going to pay the difference. This was highlighted by gov cuomo in May http://www.governor.ny.gov/press/030712DFSInvestigation. You should NOT be paying beyond your copay for in hospital services.
Sorry for the soapbox but this gets me SOO upset.

My son was 4500 for the hospital and another 1000 for the anesthesiologist. My DD was about 3000. I had c/s for both kids.

& a few $20 co pays because we had to see a prenatal cardiologist, genetic counselor & a couple other specialists.
(DD came out 100% healthy  even though it looked as though something was wrong.)

My plan had a $200 deductible, $1500 out of pocket maximum for coinsurance and $30 copays.
All in I paid about $2000 - I met my deductible and out of pocket maximum, had several copays for sonograms, some copays for meds (had c section) plus the baby had her own deductible and portion of the out of pocket to meet when she arrived for nursery charges.

Well, when I had Emerson 4 yrs ago (C-section) we had better insurance and EVERYTHING was covered while I pregnant and for delivery too. I paid a $15 co-pay on my first OB visit then nothing the rest of my pregnancy until delivery, we had a $500 hospital co-pay. So OOP I spent only $515. It was awesome.
Now we have a high deductible plan. I have to meet $3500 in deductibles every year and then co-insurance kicks in until I hit $7500 total. So basically, to have this baby...............it's going to cost me $7500 OOP.  
Mine is awful too. I have to meet 5k deductible so I will be paying the whole thing out of pocket. I don't know why my insurance is such crap, I work for a division of a huge, worldwide company

$150 co payment per er visit- I had 4, so $600.
$150 per admisission co pay and $150 surgical copay for circumcision.
Cost us a total of 900 when all was said and done.

Our deductible is crazy we had to meet $6,000 out of pocket first and then everything was covered 80% and our bill after delivery is $2,500 (c-section) so out of pocket total for each baby was $8,500 so for both kids it was $17,000. We are still paying off Liam.
