AF cramps
I asked a few weeks ago if AF cramps were normal in weeks 30-35. Someone just told me without me revealing I had these that when the body is ready for labor you will begin to feel AF cramps....is this true! Yikes

Re: AF cramps
I found this online...this is what it sounds like to me. It's likely a precursor to labor...but it by no means indicates labor will begin tomorrow!
braxton hicks contractions
some articles i found said they are painless...but others said they aren't. why someone would say they are painless is beyond me. i had them withmy first child, i definitely felt them. i think by painless, they meant some women never "feel" them. either way, unless you are in SEVERE pain, don't worry too much...but definitely let your dr. know about them to be safe.

Re: AF cramps
I've been having AF-like cramps for weeks already. And based on the desciption of Braxton Hicks, I don't think it's that- they're just cramps. From what I understand it's your body stretching and prepparing for labor. No need to worry about it though, it certainly doesn't mean you're going into labor any time soon.

I've been cramping pretty regularly since 30 weeks. My doctor said its totally normal and pretty much said what Nicole did!! Our bodies are just preparing!

OH OK...bc I agree it doesnt feel like braxton hicks bc I hear thats like contractions. This is dull numb pain like AF cramps.

mine felt like "AF" cramps. in fact, having had a child already, I've come to see how similar AF cramps are to labor pains. granted, there's a SEVERE difference. Braxton Hicks are related to preparing the cervix for effacing. And not everyone will feel the same...or even feel them.
