AF Coloring Question?

could there be a more random topic title???

this time - not the color of my b-6 infused pee.....

this is the first AF i've ever had with INSANE dark blood. Seriously - to the point of me being nervous.... i know period blood is usually reddish...but this is almost black...it's THAT dark.

could it have anything to do with the b6 as well??? i've never had af yet while on that...

If you do a search for dark blood during menstruation, a lot shows that it can be old blood that has oxidized early or that it can be very iron rich.

Since you have been TTC, maybe it would be best for you to call your doctor and ask about it.

Jess, let me get way TMI for you...

Sometimes when I have AF it is black colored also.. even with various sized clot-looking things. GROSS, I know! I think it's normal.

You also have to consider the amount of supplements you are taking... if your vitamins have iron in it, that'll make your blood a darker red...
Unless you have SERIOUS pains and clotting I wouldn't worry about it. I've been having the same thing since starting the prenatals... Freaky but "normal" according to my Dr.

here's the WEIRD update. GONE....that really, creepy, horror movie color all day long and then NOTHING, GONE BABY GONE by 11:00 PM.

maybeamommy - the clotty things - i've noticed them all my life....that's usually how i know it's coming to a close....i start seeing those...
