AF after MC?
Hi all, I had a missed mc last month, I took Misoprostol (Cytotec) on April 20. Bleeding lasts for approximately 7 days. My dr. told me to expect AF 28 days later.
(if you have experience with this)
My question is when did you get AF? I'm on CD 31. I'm starting to get a little worried, no sign of AF, because I was so waiting to start ttc next month.

AF after MC?
I'm surprised the doc told you to expect AF at exactly 28 days... I had a natural (early) miscarriage last month, and what I've noticed, and what I've read from the other girls on here (and other sites) is that AF could be all wacky the next month. Most doc's I've noticed have told their patients it could come 4-6 weeks after - giving that extra time as a MC really messes with your system. I hope you get AF soon, good luck!!!

I had a mc April 30 and waiting for AF as well. My re told me I should get it between 4-6 weeks but can also be up to 10. He explained how your body and hormones have to reset so to speak
Trust me I am so ready to start and feel like we are wasting time

thanks I was hoping that's the case. I've never been so impatient waiting for AF, it's usually praying that she doesn't show her head.

OMG ... yes, and yes. This waiting truly stinks. Sorry for your loss, it can really take a toll.

AF after MC?
I'm waiting waiting waiting... Since mine was natural, I have NO IDEA what day to start my "cycle" for the month - do I start from the day I started spotting and my levels started dropping? do I start from the day that the bleeding got heavier? do I start from the day that I passed everything? It gets soooo confusing!!! I'm counting from the day the bleeding got heavier, which means I SHOULD get AF next week one day (I'm generalizing so if I don't get it on a certain day, I don't freak out).

I am sorry for your loss. I had an early miscarriage in September and took cytotec and I didn't get my first AF until December. Waiting was the ^_*#$^* worse thing.

awww sorry your loss, seems like we are all in the same boat. I hear ya about this stupid waiting game.
I would count from the day, you started bleeding.

I had a d&c. Af came 34 days later, and my cycle is always 34 days. This is our first month trying again and I'm in the 2WW not sure if AF will be as predictable this time !

sorry for your loss. I had a D&C as well with my first MC and AF came when she was suppose a month later. This time it's just wacky I guess.

im sorry for your MC, when i had my MC in Nov i didnt get AF until 5 weeks, closer to 6 weeks actually. I miscarried naturally so i dont know if that makes a difference, but it didnt come back until then.

So sorry for your loss. I had a D&C and AF showed 34 days after. My cycle is usually 34-35 days. I hope she shows for you soon! I'm now on my second cycle since the MC and am so anxious to get a BFP. All these waiting periods are torture. Hang in there!
