my family is ginz.. they would die.. can you imagine a room of all hot headed mafia siclians... and no favor..

For the Adults I had Chocolate covered pretzel sticks...they were pre wrapped and like chocolate sprinklesd one, PEanut butter chipped ones, Rainbow sprinkles, a few others, a bit more fancy then normal.
Like these but more varieties

I wouldn't even bother doing favors for the adults. If you feel you need to, maybe just get candy bars made or lollipops.
That's what I did. I ordered the labels and then bought chocolate bars. Took off the labels that were on them and then put on the ones that I ordered which had my son's picture on them...

These are what I did for the adult favors. They are edible chocolate bars with Ella's name and birth date printed on it.
I will post pics when I get them from the photographer. I am still waiting on pics from her.

I agree that something edible would be good. I'd just throw away a gumball machine because I don't lke to have too much stuff around the house.
You are doing a candyland theme, right?
What about big lollypops with a "S" on them, any type of candy would be good.
I also like the idea of a small picture frame with a 1 year old picture in it...that I'd keep.
ITA with all of this...

I went to a party where they did confetti (Jordan Almonds) in lace hankies. That was pretty nice.

Oye Vey I didn't realize that...
Oh I hear ya and feel your pain. I have ginz Italian (Sicilian) Family too. I got away with not doing favors cuz I only invite immediate family and a few close friends for my son's birthday party cuz we do it at the house and just don't have the room for my family which is huge! The only time we expand the list is if it's a religious occassion. And so far the only one we've had is 2 years ago for our son's christening.
But yes ladies Theresa is right. If a room full of sicilian ginzooz do not get a favor they will get so offended it's not even funny...

Ohh, I am so glad you like it. I think people will love it. I went to a Christmas wedding once and these were the favors. Attaching the placecard is a fabulous idea.

Love the chocolate apple idea!!!
We always do edible favors for parties-- thats what the family wants!! lol
We have done personalized cookies, chocolate covered rice krispy treats and chocolate covered oreos. I made them but here are some links...
