Adding dc to insurance
Has anyone tried to do this in advance and had a hard time?

Adding dc to insurance
Most insurance companies won't allow you to do so until after baby is born. Once born you have 30 days to do so.

While I was still PG I called our insurance company to find out what we had to do to add her. They told me to have DH call with the name and date of birth as soon as possible after she was born. It was that simple, no forms or anything to fill out.

Mine wouldnt do it until I got the birth certificate and sent them a copy.

Ours will add the babies as soon as they are born, no sooner. We did not have to wait for their SS card or BC since it can take some time.

Adding dc to insurance
Just did this 3 weeks.ago. we didnt have to call ins we went thru our Human Resourse Dept & added her ourselves thru.company benefits website week after she was born. We had upto 30 days to add her.
