Yes I have heard this too. I read that you should try to stay away from the ones that contain alcohol and go for the ones with natural ingredients like bees wax.
I am a total addict!

I have been addicted to it for over 10 years. I have tried to quit using it and my lips become horribly chapped if I don't use it. Over the last year I have finally weaned down to only using it 3-4 times a day compared to about the 100 times a day I use to use it

I am a big time addict
my habit is $$$ with Kiehl's now $9.50 a tube
I start to freak out if I don't have one with in reaching distance
and I recently went to a spa and spent $19 on one tiny tube of the best chap stick ever- but I only use it once or twice a day- so GOOD

I never thought of it as an addiction before.....but I ALWAYS have chapstick with me and I get upset if I forget it

I have different ones for different purposes. . .
I actually just use a big tup of Eucerin at night and keep it in my night table. I use my Burt's bees a million times a day. My "going out" chapstick is the classic red one, I love the way it makes my lips look. And when i get chapped lips in the winter I switch to one with menthol . . .
