Adam's Jungle Safari First Birthday (pic overload!)
Just wanted to share some pics from Adam's first birthday party last weekend. I still can't believe my baby is one already!! The party was jungle/safari themed and we had it in the hall at my mother's church. It was so much work to put together, but DS is definitely worth it  I'd like to take the time to especially thank Nikole Deluca for taking all the beautiful pics, Tiffany (cookiemomster) for so selflessly and generously offering to make the awesome birthday banner, and my girls over at Lavender Ladybugs for surprising me by making all the baby girls safari print dresses and the boys matching safari 'tie' onesies!!! All the kids looked ridiculously cute!
Cake from The Cake Gallery in Bellmore made to match invites. Cookies and Cream filling....oh so delish!! I highly recommend them!
Dessert table which included things like homemade marshmallow S'mores pops, Oreo balls, chocolate drizzled Rice Krispie treats, rainbow cookies, chocolate animal lollipops, brownie bites, chocolate covered pretzels, and a few store bought things like mini danishes and mini cupcakes (both from Costco).
Jungle Animal Balloons from Oriental Trading. These were a HUGE hit with the kids:
Centerpieces & Decorations-
I ordered the mylar balloons from Celebrationexpress.com, they were about $2 each cheaper there than getting them from local party stores. I then brought them to Sandy's in Franklin Square to be blown up and had arranged with the latex balloons. You can't see the mylar balloon well in the pic but one side was a lion face and the other said "Happy First Birthday". I placed them in giraffe print bowls I bought from Oriental Trading and hid the weight with green easter grass. I also hung up chinese paper lanterns that I ordered from Justartifacts.com. They were so cheap and I thought it made the space look really nice. I also strung moss vines across the walls and hung little stuffed monkeys I got from the dollar store from them:
Goodie bags I made-
I filled them with goldfish crackers, bubbles, board and bath books from Target, and flash cards from Dollar Tree. Favor tags matched the invites, both of which were from Pickmepaperdesigns, a vendor on Etsy. I highly recommend her, she was wonderful to work with!

For entertainment, I had Gymboree come for an hour. We had about 20 kids ranging from 6 months old to 5 years old at the party so it was a little hectic but I think they did a great job and the kids really seemed to enjoy it!
