It could be that low-some areas of LI have not been re-assessed.
The decor is over the top, but love the mill work and the tile and glass blocks. That's high end stuff!
ETA: It would probably come out during a title search or something like that and then the taxes would be raised.

When I called Town of Smithtown about reassessments they said that only if the owners did any major improvements (add space, redo basement, add bathroom, pool...) would the taxes go up. I don't know if its different where this house is.

What is with the huge vases all over the place?
The furnishing do not really match this house very well. Its so cluttered with all the oversized stuff.
