Acu question
For those of you who are doing acupuncture and seeing an RE, do you recommend waiting to start the acupuncture until you see the RE first? Also, I'm wondering if you know if they can work multiple functions of acupuncture into one session?
TIA!
ETA: Also, if you could recommend your acupuncturist that would be great! I got a reco from a colleague to Smithtown Acupuncture, but really want to get as much info as possible!

Acu question
The sooner you start acupuncture, the better! It takes time to make a difference. You can probably work multiple functions into one session. I don't see why not.
I see Andy Kaplan in RVC and he's great. A lot of girls on here use him.
Best of luck!

I suppose each Acupuncturist will do things differently, some believe in herbs and foods etc.

Re: Acu question
I go see Andy Kaplan in RVC as well. This has been my first month there but so far it's been great! I started seeing him after I've been with my RE for 6 months with no progress

Re: Acu question
Im starting acupuncture tomorrow with the Andy Kaplan. Hs comes highly recommended on here. I just had my first failed IVF so I'm beginning it before I start my second cycle next month.

Re: Acu question
My former RE was indifferent with acu.. she didn't really look outside of the box So after no success with her, I researched and went to Andy. I am glad I did. And he often does a pressure point for my facial muscles bc I have slight TMJ and facial tension. If you choose him, he will want to know if you have other areas that need addressing and will combine.

Sooner rather than later with acu. I recommend Dr. Perretta in East Meadow.
