Accupuncture to Induce Labor?
Anyone do this and have success? I am due on Thursday with no progress as of Friday, and I want to avoid being induced at all costs.
Can anyone recommend an acupuncturist? I am in Bayside. Thanks!

I went when i was 39 weeks and 4 days. It did not work though lol. I also tried every other old wives tale under the sun!
Anyway my accupunture lady wanted me to come back the next day but I chose not to. I was super nervous when she first started it…they hook up the needles to these little electrode things and I was not into it. I think this is normal practice but bc I was pregnant it made me nervous. I do have to say I was very relaxed by the end! Just wish it worked!

Thanks! I am definitely a little nervous, but am willing to try anything to not be induced.

I did it with both of my pregnancies. With DD I went on my due date. COntractions started that night, lasted all the next day, and I had her the following morning. With DS, I had it one day after my due date. Contractions started pretty much right after the appointment, and he was born within 14 hours of the appointment  Both times, I used this practice (they have an office in Flushing)

ETA: they also have a new, beautiful office in Williston Park (I think) is that's more convenient, but it's not listed here. I went there the second time, I just called one of the other offices and asked for the number.

Accupuncture to Induce Labor?
I did two session and DS#1 was 11 days late and I did not want to be induced. Did absolutely nothing for me. I was induced on the 15th day after my due date.

I went to accupuncture twice to induce labor. It didn't work for me but I definitely believe it can. If you do a search on here some people talk about it working for them. I went to Andy Kaplan in rockville centre to help get pregnant and to induce. He's great

I used Andrew Kaplan as an accupuncturist to get pregnant and I really liked him. No idea how the inducing labor thing works, wish I had heard of it before I had to be induced with DD at 41 weeks, 1 day!

My doctor won't "let" me go a week past my due date, so I am desperate to get things moving along!
