Absolutely horrifying social experiment
This popped up in my FB feed today. This was so upsetting to watch. The end scene is just terrifying. Aside from the horror of people's reactions, or lack thereof, it reaffirms the importance of teaching children what to do if they're ever lost. I recognized the streets and this was filmed in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

I don't know. Something about this doesn't seem real.
Why did she go up to all men?
And they happened to catch a pedophile.
Most of it seem staged to me.

It was definitely scary but I was heartened to see some of the people's responses. The two young guys were absolutely adorable, especially when one of them touched her arm and told her not to worry, everything was going to be ok and yes, the scene at the end was terrifying but that older man was not going to let her go. Good for him! He was immediately so protective of her when the younger guy came up. He didn't even know her, yet he was not afraid to confront the other guy who was trying to take her away.

I call BS on some of these. Maybe some are real, but not all for sure.

While I do believe the last scene was staged, the message is the same. What Would You Do did a similar experiment, with the same types of responses from people.

I cant watch this. Based on what you guys are saying it sounds tough.
My sister in law has always told her kids that if you get lost and you cant find a police officer try and find another mom. Maybe that mom is a POS. But at least a mom (with kids) is MUCH more likely to help you if you are lost.

Yeah I really don't get much from this video. First of all, the girl says she's nine (I think) and she looks about eleven and speaks very eloquently. Here in nyc, half of the people she walks past probably had full time jobs by her age that they walked to and from every day- even here and now kids are on buses and trains to get to school by the time they are 13/14. Imo if she was under 7 there would be very different reactions. Jmo. And the last one was fake. They wouldn't let it get to the point of cop calling.

And let's not forget about how at the end, he was selling his shirts, pumping up his brand, etc. It's mostly fake.
