about hospital bag
is it necessary that I bring a nightgown? persoanlly I hate them but, I read somewhere that it might be wise to bring so you dont have to keep taking your pants off.

Re: about hospital bag
I'm not bringing one. I have a pair of yoga pants, a pair of PJ pants, and a few shirts/tanks packed. That's it. Maybe they just suggest that if your having a c-section so the pants won't irritate the incision?

Yes I should have mentioned that! Its for this reason. I'm not sure yet if a C section is in the cards for me tho. Planning for anything!

Re: about hospital bag
I have had 2 c-sections and all though I packed nightgowns the first time for this reason I didnt really wear them. I didnt even bother packing them the second time. I just made sure my pants are not tight at the top. I will be doing the same thing this time around, no nightgowns.

Re: about hospital bag
I just wore the one they gave me at the hospital when I was there. It was plenty roomy yet covered me well and had easy snap access for BF. Plus I didn't want to get blood on any of my own clothes if I didn't have to. I was wearing a huge ice diaper and had a chuck blue pad inside the disposable panties they gave me so I don't think pants would've really fit over all that... I did wear PJ pants home though.

Re: about hospital bag
don't bring anything if you don't want to! might as well ruin the hospital's gown instead of your own
