A WWWYD re OBGYN

So I love my dr. He's a sole practitioner so I ALWAYS see him, he's amazing, his staff is OK, not amazing...for instance when I had my chemical this month and went in, I paid my copay in cash, I just got a bill from them and had to call them to clarify and they said well next time remind us to give you a receipt, and sort of in a pissy way said well it was a stressful day..she realized what she said and apologized..plus...I hear a lot of girls getting bloodworkd done after a miscarriage, and my OB didnt' order one...not sure if this is the norm or not, my progesterone levels were also very low not sure if it was just bc I was already miscarrying or it was the reason for miscarriage, and was wondering if they should have addressed that with me....so not sure if I should switch, I've heard great things about a larger practice but I don't know, he delivered DD and was amazing and loved the fact that I knew he was going to deliver DD...I saw him at EACH appt no NP or anything like that it was him always

if you are happy with your dr I would not switch.

I love my dr., and she no longer does OB Chat Icon but I love love love her and don't want to switch. if and when i get PG I will still see her for as long as I can. A good OBGYN is hard to find, IMO.

Mine didn't do blood work after my chemical either and I love my doctor i think he's great. I trust his judgement. If you felt comfortable with him when he delivered ur DD then maybe you should stick with him and ask him about your progesterone level. If it's really making you that uncomfortable then I would switch. You have to trust you obgyn.

I would stick with your doctor if you like him. Sometimes a doctors staff is the opposite but it is so hard to find good doctors these days that I say if you really like him stick with him.

After my chemical, the dr did not order bloodwork for me either.
Honestly, if you like your dr and you're comfortable with him and you feel he did a good job with you during your first pregnancy, then i would stay with him.
Like a PP said, a good doc is hard to find.

I think that we have the same OB and I love him and the NP. I can see what you mean about the front desk, but I think it's just her voice. I always love how she knows who i am even if it's been 3 years!

FWIW: I had a blood test after a m/c - but it was only to test for HCG, I think
