A very special bathtime experience
We are going out this afternoon for my stepdaughter's art show, and then going away this weekend, so I figured I'd give Cailen a bath now...
So, I fill up the tub, undress him... place him in the hammock... he screams at first, the way he normally does, and then gets calm. I do my regular thing- place the washcloth on his tummy, run water all over him - he is very very calm...
A bit TOO calm, all of a sudden I hear "pffft" and then see his poop floating all over the hammock!!!
Ever see the insurance commericals, where something happens, the picture freezes and you just see "Now What?" on the screen?
I felt just like that...
I take him out, wrap him in the towel, he's screaming and crying now... I rinse out the tub, there is poop all over our bathtub because I put his tub in it... all over the washcloths, everything...
I manage to rinse out his tub, clean it, refill it, and place him back in it...
wouldn't you know it - he did it again!!!
It was less than the 1st time, so I placed a washcloth under him, covering the poop, and used the water from the tub faucet....
I usually love bath time with him, but for some reason it wasnt quite as fun today!!!
I'm ready for a drink. And a nap.

Re: A very special bathtime experience
I can totoally relate!! DD did this the first time we gave her a tub bath. AS soon as we started pouring water over her she pooped all over the bear sponge that we lay her on!! DH and I were hysterical - didn't know what to do...I picked her up and was just watching the poop fall out of her butt, so I just stuck her under the faucet and let the water run on her butt to clean it up. We were laughing saying we literally "scared the sh*t out of her!!!"
