A silly Christmas card debate...
So we live a mile from "Main Street" in Mulberry, USA...Josh and I spend many hours hanging out at this wooden train bridge.
That's where I would like to take his pic this year.
DH and I are in a debate at which scene makes a better card pic.
1. now...sunny out, trees still have leaves, tons of different colors, falling everywhere.
2. in another week or 2, no leaves, just branches...a colder look...with town decorated.
thanks!
eta: also how important is it to have a train in the pic?

I don't think you need the train and I would wait til it was decorated, but the first would look fine too
Hows THAT for indecisive?

BOTH!!
Shoot some this week and more next week. Background may not be as important as finding the "right" shot of Josh.

I would do both...but
unless you have snow in #2, I'd opt for #1

Re: A silly Christmas card debate...
I would do #2, sounds more wintery. I would skip the fall/train thingy, for cards that is.

I personally like Christmas card to look "Wintery" not "Fallish".

Re: A silly Christmas card debate...
Beautiful and jealous first off but I like winter scene better for Christmas cards IMO. Bare on the trees , etc. I love fall foliage pictures but not for Christmas Cards.
I would try and def get the train and get some without. See how it looks.

Re: A silly Christmas card debate...
thanks!
there def will be no snow.
we usually only get a 2 inch dust in Feb. I would try for a train...but they are freight trains without a real schedule...seriously, it could be hours.

Re: A silly Christmas card debate...
I would try both and see which one comes out better. It is going to be a hard pic with Josh- he is too cute!
