We didn't have that issue (have a boy) but I would just change her right before going into the church. Should only take a minute.

Mine were late spring babies so I put them in the carseat in a sleeveless onesie and dressed them in the church. You could do that and just use a blanket if it is chilly.

Re: A REALLY STUPID ? ABOUT BAPTISM GOWN???
My sister just strapped her daughter into the car seat in the gown, careful not to catch the dress in any of the latches. It was a short ride to the church and my niece was already squirmy in the gown pulling it up any way so there was no concern about keeping it wrinkle free or anything like that.

We got the girls dressed at the church. Both girls had short dresses but I did not want them to wrinkle!

thankfully we were able to walk to church, but going to the party we just bunched up and strapped them in, if its a material where its gonna get wrinkled and look awful put her in a onesie some comfy sweatpants and change her in church

My DD had a very long dress and I dressed my DD at the church. Then after the church I just rolled her dress up before I buckled the car seat.

Dress her at the church. That is what we did with DS to ensure he did not spit up or anything on his outfit

Re: A REALLY STUPID ? ABOUT BAPTISM GOWN???
We went to mass first, so she was in regular clothes for that. We changed her after mass in the back of our SUV.
But we did keep her in it on the way home. The dress was squishy enough that I just had to loosen the straps a little to buckle it, but tightened it when she was strapped in.
