A question (well many questions) about sterilizing bottles etc...
I need to start doing this and I'm pretty clueless about how. We have Dr. Brown's bottles if that matters. I don't have a dishwasher...can I boil the bottles? Do I boil all of the parts? Do I have to get a bottle sterilizer? Microwave sterilization bags? What about pacifiers? Help!

just took a baby care classes. they said to boil all the bottles and nipples for 5 minutes before first time use. after that...they said just warm soapy water is fine for daily use. i asked about pacifiers and she wasnt sure..so i say yes to boiling once and then just hand washing. :)

This is exactly what I did with DS bottles and plan to do the same this time around. I bought a baby safe soap, and a bottle drying rack. I just boiled them the one time. I eventually bought a Dr. Brown dishwasher basket, but I didn't start using that until DS was 8 months old.

Dr Brown Bottles say to only strelize the nipples by boiling water. NO OTHER PARTS for Dr Brown's should be sterilized.
I didn't read it and boiled everything and it was fine, but I know now it says only boil nipples.
We didnt buy a bottle sterilizer.

Can I ask what baby safe soap you got?
