BPA bottles - many questions
how many of you use the BPA free bottles? Avent bottles aren't BPA free are they? If I pump into an avent bottle does it transfer the chemicals? I am so confused!!! I obviously haven't done much research. I just wanted to get your opinions firstl. thanks

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
Avent bottles are not BPA free, but I think you are ok unless you heat the bottles in the microwave.
Also, there has been A LOT of discussion this in the past year, do a search and it should help you

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
It's the heat that releases the BPA - I am not positive but I would think that the extreme heat from the dishwashwer would cause the release of the BPA.
If you want inexpensive BPA free bottles you can check out the plastice Evenflo bottles and the Medela bottles.

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
I used the drop-ins which are BPA free when DS was on bottles. Now I use the Born Free sippy cups.

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
I only use BPA free bottles....
I use:
Evenflo glass & plastics Gerber clearviews Dr. Brown's glass and Born Free's.
I like them all.... but I love the Born Free's - I feel like she gets the least amount of residual gas issue from them.

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
I use Medela and Born Free. I even got rid of the Avent sanitizer and bought the Born Free sanitizer. I don't know whether the Avent sanitizer was a problem but I feel better not using it.

I use the Evenflo BPA free bottles. I found that they are thinker then the non-bpa free ones. I just feel better about useing them. Some people dont care. You have to use what you feel is right to you.

Re: BPA bottles - many questions
I also wanted to add that Avent has a drop in bottle as well. The Tempo. DS used that when we were out and when we went on a cruise. It is the same nipple as the regular Avent.
He never liked the nipples on the playtex drop ins
