A question for those who read Water for Elephants
I really want to read this book, especially with the movie coming out but I heard that there are some depictions of animal cruelty in the novel. Are they very graphic? I don't know if I could read it if they were.

Re: A question for those who read Water for Elephants
It's been a while since I read it but I don't remember it being that bad. I would think it would have turned me off the book if it was.

It's pretty general - nothing seriously graphic.

Re: A question for those who read Water for Elephants
I think the one s e x scene was far more graphic than anything else!! The animal cruelty was a sad of course but not overly graphic.
