A question for all
I have recently come off birth control and DH and I are started to talk about TTC. I have lost 65 pounds but I am not sure how much I more I should lose before I start trying. About how much did/ do you weigh while TTC? For those who got pregnant who were overweight did you have more complications? For girls who weighed a little more did your doctor have concerns with you TTC?
TIA

I am 5'7 and weigh 182 lbs..not really carrying about my weight when TTC. I dont consider myself to be obese or anything.

Re: A question for all
I'm 5'7" and weighed around 180 while TTC'ing for 2 years. No dr ever mentioned my weight as being an issue with not getting pregnant (gyno or RE)
now that i'm 17wks pregnant, i've gained about 5-6 pounds so far and I've been told that my weight gain is normal

Re: A question for all
I am 5'1'' and was 200 lbs a few months ago when I went to the gyn asking about TTC and I asked if it was the worst thing to be my size and pregnant. He said "no, eat healthy, do activities you enjoy, if you loose 1 lb a week for a year thats a lot. do what you can and don't stress." I am now 190 lbs. I am still worried, not where I wanted to be but I have heard often that chubbier people tend not to gain too much during pregnancy..not sure why or if thats true.

Re: A question for all
I live in Chicago and my fertility center mentions BMI in the basic consultation. Here is an article from their website on BMI: http://www.fcionline.com/lifestyle-factors/bmi.html
