9 weeks -please tell me this is a phase!

around 8 weeks she finally 'saw' us and was all smiles all the time.. we would prop her up and talk to her etc. now she will still do that, but then very quickly (especially with me) wants to be picked up. im talking crying tears. and not just picked up, chest to chest held. Chat Icon

At that age, everything is a phase. With newborns the only thing you can count on is that everything will most likely change as soon as you get used to it.

Think of it from the baby's perspective. For nine whole months, it was held 24/7 it could hear your heart beating and that gave it comfort. To not hold it all of the time will take some getting used to for the baby.

Oh man, so true! And then there will come a time when all they do is climb out of your arms and you just want to hold them longer!

I know it's hard to believe, but at 9 weeks nothing is predictable about your baby and EVERYTHING is going to change 5023980984 more times. Probably even more than that.
