8m DS Eating issues! HELP!
My Ds is going to be 8m in a few more days. I have been making all of his food for him since he started solids. Here is my issue: He used to eat everything that I made for him...all fruits, all veggies. Now, I am lucky of I can get any veggies in him at all. He used to love his stringy beans and his carrots. No more. He screams, throws his head back and spits the food out. Right now the only sure veggie that is "safe" is spinich, and I know that its not good to give them every day! I have no issues with the fruit however. I even decided a few weeks ago to incorporate meats and made him a "chicken dinner" that included chicken, peas, carrots, potatos and a little seasoning. He loved it the first two times I gave it to him...and then the dramatics start....sooo....today I was at BRU and I decided to get a few meals that were organic. Well, I gave him one tonight and you would have thought that I gave a junkie a fix...he opened his mouth wider than I have seen in a long time! URGH....any suggestions on what I can do differently? I have no issue with making the food for him, I would prefer it! Oh, BTW he only has two bottom teeth that just came in, and will eat ANYTHING that is crunchy...cheerios, puffs, graham cracker. If I offer him any kind of veggies or fruits on his tray to pick up he just kinda plays with them. If I put them in his mouth he makes HORRIBLE faces and gags!

Just keep trying. Maybe try to prepare them in a different way, or mix them with fruits.

Try mixing with apples - I make all of DD's food and she hates carrots but I puree, chop them with a few pieces of apple and she eats them.
