$800 for SIX blinds?

Okay I got measured for blinds yesterday. I ordered plain honeycomb blinds.

I ordered:
two regular size blinds
two large custom size blinds
one small custom size blind
one skylight blind

got quoted $1200 but given a "deal" of $800. . .I canceled the order immediately. . . am I wrong? Is that a good/normal price??

Whenever you add "custom" to the mix, the price triples.

We ordered 3 sets of wood blinds from JC Penney during one of their SUPER sales and it was about $420.

i guess we can't get regular blinds bc the windows are not regular sizes

my house is really old and i guess they just made windows any size they wanted back then LOL

i dont know what to do - this isnt our dream home it is our starter apartment in my parents' attic!

Curtains might be nice...I imagine they would be less money. They make some nice ones that totally block light out, and you can have a more sheer layer if you just want privacy.

Unfortunately anything custom is going to be expensive. You can cut your own at HD.. they just don't have any choices in color except white and off-white.

do what I did- so cheap

go to Bed bath and beyond- they have tension curtain rods

they cost between $4 and $7

then get curtains-

I did 6 or 8 windows for less then $120

since i was the one who canceled the order FH decided that i have to do this myself and he wants nothing to do with it

so i really want it to come out great AND be inexpensive!
