8 week old and daycare

8 weeks old at daycare

so today was my 1st day at daycare with my 8 week old.
I am completely new to this and what goes on during the day at daycare

For those who have or had babies in daycare this young, what is there schedule like at daycare?
do you know what your baby does all day?

I called earlier to check up on him and he was sleeping both times. They also took him outside for a half hour as well.

I know he is young, but when I was home w him on maternity leave I interacted with him in between feedings and naps.

What goes on at your daycare for your baby? Was wondering if i am expecting too much or just not sure what should be going on during the day

thanks for the feedback

They follow each newborns schedule and yes they will interact with them. They should be giving you a written report of the day.

This.

My boys did a lot of the same things they did at home - except with other babies at the same time - they played on a mat, did tummy time, sat in bouncy seats, etc.

I started my DS at 12 weeks. I would ask questions when you pick him up to see what they did today. Most likely, he is being cuddled and sung to and read to during the day. I don't know if your daycare does this but I always got a sheet at the end of the day (still do now and he's 2) and it showed how many changes, if he pooped, when he ate, how much he ate, when he napped, etc. They also write down any fun things they did that day. It's hard now when he's so young because obviously they're limited in what he can participate in but I'm sure they're giving him lots of attention. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. Especially since you're new to daycare and he's so young, they totally expect it. It will get easier!

I would get a report each day of her nap times, diaper changes and if it was wet or BM, bottles, etc.
They would interact and play with them when they were awake.
My DD liked it better because she got to watch other babies too. They said from the start she was a real "people watcher"
