8 month old - NO bottle NO sippy cup
I am feeling very frustrated and helpless. My 8 month old son refuses all bottles and sippy cups at daycare and will only nurse when he gets home. He eats a lot of solids during the day (breakfast, snack and lunch) and then I nurse him when I pick him up I try and give him a snack and then I try and nurse him again before I put him down for the night. He's up ALL night long. I don't know if it is teething, hunger or him just wanting me. Is this "normal?"

When did he start daycare? Recently? My kids were both like this. They started at 6 mos and 4 mos. Were like that until they stopped nursing unfortunately... I attributed it to missing me.

At the same age, DD started completely refusing bottles. I was home with her so it wasn't too much of an issue for her. One thing I thought of after the fact was that I never switched to a larger nipple so maybe that was frustrating for her. I'm guessing I'm the only dummy that never thought of that but figured I'd mention it just in case. Other than that I would just try to make sure you're giving good quality solids in place of the milk like oatmeal mixed with bm or yogurt. He could be up a lot at night to make up for missing you or not nursing a lot during the day. DD cut a bunch of teeth at 8 months so her sleep was pretty bad then too.
