7.5 month old refusing breakfast
For the past week and a half Brooke has been refusing to eat breakfast. Things that she used to gobble up- she refuses to open her mouth for.
I thought maybe she didn't want baby food- so I tried oatmeal (quaker apples and cinnamon) she ate 2 bites and then wouldn't open any more. I tried apple sauce with cinnamon, I tried Farina with a bit of maple syrup, I tried yo baby yogurts (banana and the 3-in-one apple and sweet potato).
She will eat cheerios or puffs and a few tiny bits of fresh fruit- but I feel like she needs something a bit more substantial.
Her schedule is usually:
6am-ish- wake up- 7oz bottle 8am- breakfast 10-11am- 7oz bottle (nap) 12-1pm- lunch 230-3- 7 oz bottle (nap) 6pm- dinner 7:30pm- 7 oz bottle (bed)
lunch has been stage 2 foods- veggies and a grain (like the vegetable risotto with cheese)- this week I'm starting to give her soups and bits of pasta with veggies
dinner is pretty much the same as lunch- only I will use stage 3 foods if I do premade baby food.
Any ideas?

Re: 7.5 month old refusing breakfast
My sons started refusing purees at that point. Started with dinner then all the other meals. Maybe try something not pureed?

Re: 7.5 month old refusing breakfast
I have a seven month old - who up until now happily ate anything I offered him - who is suddenly very unenthusiastic about his food. Loves his bottle, has no patience for veggies or oatmeal. I was just about to start him on fruits but now I'm not sure. The ped. attributed it to teething as his two bottom teeth are making an appearance. Has your DC been cranky lately?

Re: 7.5 month old refusing breakfast
DS was refusing to take food at 6.5 months. I didnt know what to do he went from having 28-30oz with 3 meals to having 21-24oz and 3 meals. It lasted bout a week or two, but we did have to drop a bottle...and it is SOOOO much better!
His schedule is
8am-8oz bottle 10am-yoguert 1pm-8oz bottle 3pm-veggie fruit with cereal 6pm-veggie or fruit with cereal 8pm- 8oz bottle.
If we are eating something that he can eat we give it to him.

Re: 7.5 month old refusing breakfast
It happened to us around 7m, he would refuse purees but gobble up things like cheerios and puffs.
His favorite things are mum mums (rice rusks) I will actually break one in half lengthwise and use it as a spoon. Sometimes he'll bite off a piece, but its fine they sort of melt when they hit saliva. And I get get him to eat some more substantial purees. Then I'll let him pick at table food. But its so not realistic for him to eat only table food, because he's very very slow at munching it, and will get distracted and not want to work at it after 10 minutes or so.
I'm still experimenting on what he will actually sit for and pay attention and eat for 30 minutes. But so far my mum mum spoon does the trick every time.

DS is a HORRIBLE napper HORRIBLE! Never ever has had a steady nap schedule. So sometimes his yogurt will be at 11 instead of 10 bc he naps from 9-11 and USUALLY he naps right after his 3pm veggie for about an hour.
We also put him down in his crib at 8pm and he does his own thing in there for like a half hour before going to bed.
